TWOFAIRY x Bitprincess by Nadia Chilmonik

About the Artist

Nadia Chilmonik was born in Tonasket, Washington and grew up in the reservation town of Omak. She now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She studied engineering at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and art history in Paris.

Since 2015, Chilmonik has developed an interdisciplinary practice in New York City that bridges painting, sculpture, and experimental materials. Her work explores how emerging digital systems reshape identity, imagination, and mythology, creating vivid objects and images that reflect the psychological landscape of life in the digital age.

Fine Art

Nadia Chilmonik’s practice explores how emerging technologies shape culture and the inner life. Working across painting, sculpture, and experimental materials, she incorporates mediums including acrylic, resin, glass, metals, watercolor, and fiber—using  inherited crafts passed down through generations in her family.

Her work often integrates unexpected elements such as NFC chips, EKG headbands, and water, creating objects that blur the boundary between physical craft and digital systems. Through these materials, Chilmonik reflects on the ethical questions surrounding the creation and use of technology in contemporary society.

Two Fairy Jewelry: Extra-Cyber

Two Fairy is the wearable extension of Chilmonik’s artistic practice. Each piece is handmade and designed to amplify personal expression.

The project reflects an aesthetic she describes as “Extra-Cyber”—a visual language shaped by digital culture while remaining grounded in the physical world through attention to texture, weight, and proportion for the human body.

Founded in Brooklyn, New York, my work continues to evolve, pushing boundaries and reimagining what art can be in the digital age.
